LANSU is pleased to co-sponsor this event with the Office of Supportive Services.

We encourage all those who are alumni of SU & where supported through the HEOP or SSSP program to come out to reconnect with Alumni & Current SU students.

Now here is a word from Denise Trionfero Director of Higher Education Opportunity Program @ SU

Dear HEOP Alum,

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 2010 OSS Student/Alumni Networking Event. The purpose of this event is to bring current OSS students together with OSS Alumni in a comfortable setting. The event will include an Alumni Panel Presentation and is also a great opportunity for students to establish potential contacts and/or mentors and learn about the transition from college to work or graduate school. It is our hope that these exchanges will provide students with insight regarding what they may encounter once they leave Syracuse University and help them chart their post-graduate career path. It is also a time to reconnect with fellow Alumni and staff from HEOP and SSS.

The 2010 OSS Student/Alumni Networking Event will take place during winter break on Thursday January 14, 2010 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm at the Joseph I. Lubin House, which is located at 11 East 61st Street between Madison and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Please RSVP to Denise Trionfero (dvtrionf@syr.edu). Light refreshments will be served promptly at 6:30 pm.

The students and our programs need your support more than ever in these challenging times and we thoroughly appreciate your continued participation with OSS. We firmly believe that your participation will help make this event a success and we look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,

Denise Trionfero

Director

Higher Education Opportunity Program

Thank you once again, ladies and gentlemen, for tonight’s lively town hall meeting. It was a success on many levels, and we thank everyone who came out tonight. For those of you who didn’t, you probably wish you came to this powerful and insightful meeting. Fortunately for you, though, we videotaped segments of the meeting and will have a presentation recap ready as soon as we can.

In the meantime, I’d like to once again implore everyone to stay tuned via our website at http://lansu.info, Facebook, or LinkedIn. And should you have any questions, you can e-mail me at jose@lansu.info or lansumail@gmail.com. On behalf of the LANSU Board of Directors, I thank you all once again and let’s keep up the momentum on our successes.

President of the Latino Alumni Network of Syracuse University

p.s. – Tell a friend. Or two. Or everyone you know. Yes, everyone you know.
